Training you to become an elite player

We Are Serious about practice: we move fast, we pay attention, we go “ALL OUT” and work hard during training

We focus on the following core lacrossE principles:

  1. Physicality: we play strong physical lacrosse

    • On offense: initiating and dodging aggressively, changing speed, setting picks, and making cuts

    • On defense: challenging the ball aggressively, changing speed, maintaining position, and moving off-ball

  2. Awareness: We keep our heads up and anticipate

    • On offense: finding and creating space, maintaining field vision, and rewarding off-ball movement

    • On defense: filling space, head-on-a-swivel, sliding, recovery, and maintaining position on ball

  3. Communication: we talk to each other

    • On offense and defense: communication is key to knowing where and when to move. On field, we talk and we talk loudly in the “language” of lacrosse.

  4. footwork: we are athletic and explosive

    • On offense and defense: getting to the right place at the right time, in the most efficient way. This requires great footwork and great footwork is integral to high-level lacrosse. Also see physicality and awareness

  5. Stickwork: wE Are Proficient with strong and weak hands

    • On offense: catching and throwing on the run and across the body, using the weak hand to set up the strong hand, changing planes while shooting, and shooting around your defender

    • On defense: making checks, blocking passes, playing/pushing at the hips, clearing efficiently, helping move the ball upfield

Each of These are connected and build upon each otheR: practice is where you make those connections happen
