Dan Deckelbaum graduated from University of Delaware in 2007 with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. As a Senior he was a leader on the first lacrosse team in UD history to win a conference championship, and advance to the NCAA final 4.  After college Dan was drafted by the Chicago Machine in Major League Lacrosse where he started his professional lacrosse career. Dan also played for the Rochester Rattlers and Hamilton Nationals in the MLL and The Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League during his professional lacrosse career.

Today he is the director of West Chester Youth Lacrosse Association, the largest youth lacrosse program in South East Pennsylvania. The offensive coordinator at Avon Grove High School and a personal trainer certified by the National Association of Speed and Explosion (NASE).  As a coach Dan has won a Delaware state championship with Tower Hill High School in 2009 and District 1 (Philadelphia) Championships in 2013 and 2014.  In 2013 he was voted Eastern Pennsylvania Lacrosse Coach Association assistant coach of the year. Dan has also coached with The Dukes LC and NXT LC.

As a trainer Dan teaches on the field by teaching the skills hands on, evaluating and breaking down each individual athlete's game. This could mean going 1v1 against a Defender and working on his holds and footwork, or shooting and dodging with an offensive player to teach him dodging angles, release points and how to shoot accurately from every angle. Shooting on a goalie to improve his quickness, footwork and reaction time. Dan is very thankful to be able to give back to the game of lacrosse that has given him so much.  "There is nothing better than working with a player and seeing his hard work pay off by reaching his goals of playing and succeeding at the next level."

Dan is a licensed Realtor with Harrison Properties Ltd. in Pennsylvania and Delaware.  He lives in Wilmington, DE with his wife, Kelly and his daughter, Ariel.
